It’s here! The much awaited enhanced suite of Aeroplan Credit Cards come with a ‘mixed bag’ of welcome bonus offers. With TD, CIBC, and Amex Canada as providers, these cards offer unique value for travellers of all kind – frequent flyer, business traveller, or even the occasional vacationer. Aeroplan will now have a full deck of 11 Aeroplan Credit Cards under their brand.
As part of the welcome bonus for the new suite of Aeroplan credit cards, select cards will offer a unique benefit, a Buddy Pass. Essentially, it allows cardmembers to earn a buy-one-get-one ticket. This first-of-its kind offer is an incredible value, with eligible cardholders only paying the taxes and third-party charges on a second ticket anywhere Air Canada flies in North America – including Mexico and Hawaii.
So without further ado, here are the cards and the launch offers;
American Express Aeroplan Credit Cards (Canada)

Prospects who prefer a welcome offer where they can earn a bonus Buddy Pass + up to 40,000 Welcome Bonus points + a $100 statement credit, can call1-800-567-2639 to learn more or apply via phone.

Amex has existing Cardmembers covered as well – For the first year, existing American Express AeroplanPlus Platinum and Reserve Cardmembers will receive an exclusive offer as a thank you for their continued Cardmembership:
- 1,000 Bonus Aeroplan points for every $1,000 in purchases, up to 10,000 points

Thats pretty incredible, in my opinion! Details of the new Amex offers can be found here.
TD Aeroplan Credit Cards (Canada)
Other than the Visa Infinite Privilege Card offer, TD bonuses on a whole, are tepid. The buddy pass does have potential of incredible savings but a standard offer of 10-20k bonus points is pretty weak;

CIBC Aeroplan Credit Cards (Canada)
Probably the least favourite deck of Aeroplan cards for me, CIBC welcome bonuses disappoint, with 10-20k bonuses. The Infinite Privilege card with an annual fee of $599, comes with a bonus of 20k Aeroplan points. Truly disappointing.

Even though trailers are technically a type of recreational vehicle or RV, people prefer to refer to them as a totally different thing. Well, if you think of it, you can see the logic – RVs have an engine that powers them while trailers have to be pulled by hitches. Of course, trailers and RVs have a lot in common, but the terms are not really interchangeable, hence shouldn’t be used this way.
While serving the same lofty purpose – to travel and enjoy the great outdoors having the comforts of home with you – trailers and RVs differ in many ways, and at this point, we’re getting closer to the long-standing dilemma of whether trailers are better than RVs or vise versa. There is no accounting for taste and as you have probably already guessed, both types of recreational vehicles have their pros and cons, as well as lots of devoted fans. So, which one is right for you? Let’s try to answer this question!
Is Popularity the Key?
It’s in human nature to do a bit of research before investing money, so the majority of people are sincerely interested to know which type of recreational vehicle is in high demand. Indeed, popularity is a good sign, which suggests that a certain product fulfills the expectations of a large number of users.
Travel trailers are arguably the most popular variant of RV’s on the market, and for a good reason. According to experts from Caravan Woods, they are versatile, fuel-efficient, easy to maintain, and, what’s most important, affordable. Four reasons, in fact, so far – and that’s just for starters. These hi-tech wonders come in endless sizes and with many amazing extras such as garages, rooftop patios, bay windows, fireplaces, offices, hideaway beds, expanding sides, and lowering roofs.
What’s more, today you have an opportunity to become an owner of a fully customized trailer, and the best thing of all is that even the most luxurious variant will cost you just a small fraction of what you would pay for a classic RV with similar amenities and functionalities. Should we wonder that more and more people opt for such an advantageous option?
Types of Trailers
Popularity is key, but on the other hand, something that works for other people doesn’t necessarily will work for you. That’s why it is very important to know your needs, set your priorities, squeeze them into your budget, and start looking for available options. Let’s take a look at the major types of trailers and their characteristics.
Travel Trailer
the most common type of RV, it features a broad range of designs to suit every lifestyle. A compact sweet home at heart, it can be towed by a car, SUV, or pick-up truck
Fifth Wheel Trailer
the most spacious RV available, it is towed by pickup trucks using a ‘fifth wheel’ hitch, hence the name. Comes in different sizes and can accommodate up to 8 people thanks to high ceilings and a split level design
Hybrid Trailer
the most affordable variant, it is a mix between a hard-sided travel trailer and a tent camping trailer. It is also lighter than other types and can be towed by the majority of minivans and SUVs.
Camping (or Pop-Up) Trailer
the most lightweight, this hard worker is compact in size and can be towed by virtually any car. Still, it provides plenty of living space and options such as hot water, refrigerator, air conditioning, and washrooms.
Truck Camper
the most compact, this type of RV is a perfect solution for anyone who owns a pickup truck. Designed to sit in the truck bed, it is easy and economical, at the same time providing the full benefits of a trailer including amenities as toilets, showers, kitchen facilities, and air conditioners
Toy Hauler
the most adventurous model, it does exactly what it says on the tin and allows you to bring your ‘toys’ to your favorite off-road destinations. Whatever your outdoor hobby, you can always take it with you as this hauler has enough room for an ATV, canoe, snowmobile, motorcycle, as well as a dirt bike and jet skis.

Why Luxury Trailer is a Wiser Choice Than an RV
As you can see, the offering of trailers is so diverse that you can easily find your perfect fit once you define your requirements. Are you plotting to take a year off and travel the world? Or is it going to be an unforgettable holiday or weekend? Are you a family of six or it’s just you and your loved one? There is no need to lower your sights as whatever your plans and ambitions, there is a model able to cater directly to your needs.
If you wonder why trailers and not self-powered RVs, here you have it – top reasons why a customized trailer is a far better choice.
Affordability and Reduced Costs
To start with, travel trailers are far less expensive to buy and as already mentioned, the most luxurious version fully tailored to your personal wishes will cost you a tiny part of what you would have to pay for a similarly styled RV. In addition to that, they are far less pricey when it comes to ownership and operation costs. Financing is a very important side of the story, right?
Versatility
Self-powered RVs are divided into three classes – A, B, and C, but if you are not a celebrity or lucky dude who inherited a fortune, chances are you won’t be able to afford a vehicle that suits your needs, at least not without a huge hole in your family budget. The diverse offering of trailers lets you pick the model that perfectly matches your desires, the size of your family, and your budget.
Fuel-Efficiency
Perhaps twenty years ago, it wasn’t a big deal, but today, fuel consumption is a significant factor for any vehicle. Of course, a trailer will add to the fuel consumption of your SUV, but it can’t be ever compared to that of a smaller RV.
If you are planning to hit the road and looking for an appropriate vehicle, a luxury trailer can be your sure bet. Not only will you get a fully tailored to your needs model at an affordable price, but also the one that nobody else has.
